Back with more San Francisco experimental melodies, The Julia Lewis can't keep his hands off those synthesizers long enough to take a breath. Unlike most producers, he graces his audience with dinner and a movie. Today, we see the official release of "Séance Pt. 1 & 2" and a video to accompany.
A preemptive release before his The Space Between Us EP in June of 2014, "Séance" helps to illustrate the atmospheric borderline-indie sound style we might expect from the album. The game of Slide/Pat-A-Cake introducing the tune paves a perfect road for the beat and overlying melody, eventually transforming into a litany of claps, hats, and other top-end percussion then back again. The video for Pt. 1 takes the cake as well, suggesting a reminiscence of memories past as we traverse backwards across the SF roadways.
