Legends collide as Giorgio Moroder remixes Coldplay’s “Midnight”

Dance legend Giorgio Moroder, who has seen a return to the spotlight due to his work on Daft Punk's Random Access Memories, reworks "Midnight" from Coldplay's forthcoming album Ghost Stories. Set to drop May 19th off Parlophone Records, the 9-track release follows three years after the British alternative rock group delivered Mylo Xyloto featuring the hits "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" and "Princess of China" with Rihanna.

Moroder transforms the contemplative "Midnight" into a shimmering dance number. Like the original, the remix definitely takes its time to build, layering shifting synth melodies over progressive drum work and adding new vocals to the track.
