Eekkoo impresses again with latest mau5trap release "Towers"

Not one to rest on his laurels, Montreal's breakout and all-around sound wizard Eekkoo is back with a brand new single on mau5trap. The 29 year-old has been steadily releasing material on mau5trap since deadmau5 first discovered him on Soundcloud, and signed him to his label last year.

After releasing his self-titled debut EP in December and pumping out “Kyng” in February (premiered exclusively on EARMILK), the enigmatic producer surprises us with a new, sleek, progressive monster of a track, called “Towers”. Layered synth work and fierce mechanical progressions lead the way in Eekkoo’s latest pursuit, resulting in a medley of razor sharp sound design and hard-hitting techno rhythm.

With a penchant for dark and powerful progressions, “Towers” has confirmed Eekkoo’s staying power, making a bold statement of expertise on the dance music soundscape. Opting for music that reflects his own eclectic taste rather than the fashion of the times, Eekkoo’s latest sets him apart in an era tarred by recycled beats and timid production while showing he’s poised for a very big 2014.

Buy "Towers" on Beatport, or iTunes. Check out the Soundcloud link below!
