When we premiered Jon Phonics last project, the collaborative Domino Effect EP with talented vocalist Tabanca, it quickly became one of the best projects that we've featured in 2014 so far. His beautifully laid out beats complemented the subtle vocals of Tabanca excellently, and made for an engrossing listen.
This week, the Glaswegian producer dropped a fresh new beat for us all, and even let us download it for free! "Yoga Selfie" is a short but sweet glimpse into the production quality that Jon possesses, as he takes us on a journey filled with bright, plucky synths, deep hitting 808s and snappy claps that really get the track moving. The track also has a really nice drop, which leads into a dope slap-bass line whilst melodic lead lines squirm over the top, creating a melody that you'll be humming all week.
