The German duo known as Satin Jackets have turned in a stellar remix for the young singer Salt Ashes debut single “Somebody”. Out on Radikal Records today the pair rework the single into a modern day dance gem. Transporting you back to the days of disco and dance, the pair will have you feeling the spirit and energy of the original, but manage to take the dark twists and turns of their predecessor and transform them into lighter feel good melodies.
1/2 of the duo remarked in a past interview, "I was never a fan of making an original interesting or genre-compatible by remixing. I try to complement a release musically with remixes. The original mix always has to be strong and interesting enough to stand on its own legs or simply be accompanied by a b-side to make up a release." Proving that very point, the twosome comes in strong today with a soulfully soothing remix that showcases their impeccable production aptitude.
