The last few posts I've written for this site have all been electronic based, and while all amazing and different in its overall nature, I'm definitely ready to get back to my roots and talk a little bit about some good old fashioned hip hop.
Chicago's seen some great artists come out this past year- Chance the Rapper, Vic Mensa, and well, arguably Chief Keef, have come to represent the younger generations of Chicago's fascinating culture and hip hop scene, and it seems that newest up-and-comer Noelz Vedere is ready to represent Chi-Town. He's teamed up with underground hip hop king Freddie Gibbs and released "Out of Focus," a track that doesn't depend on any tricks to grab attention. Vedere highlights all of his potential here, and with a dope production backing him, this song is unstoppable. His flow is slick here, and he goes toe to toe with Gibbs, who kills it in a creative way, as always.
Overall, a young Chicago rapper with backing by Gibbs proves that this is a name to watch this year. Check out the track below, and keep an eye out for this young artist!
