UK native Paper Plates turned a lot of heads when he first graced our pages last April with his almost spoken word style and flow something that we hadn't heard an awful lot. With tracks like "Ocean" and projects such as the Degenerate Art EP and most recently his dope collab with ThisisDA and Confz entitled "Queen Rich", he's built up quite a name for himself on both sides of the Atlantic.
With 2014 well and truly underway, Paper Plates has dropped another track taken from his forthcoming project Bachelor Of Art$. Whilst Degenerate Art saw him link up with Juna Comsos who produced the entire EP, this time around the production is taken care of by Toronto native Jay Bee. On their latest track, "Pound", we see Plates go in over a boom bap style beat, which features a catchy guitar sample, even though it will leave you wishing that the track was longer. The young English emcee shows slick wordplay, and an improved flow that shows how much he's grown the past twelve months.
