Tiga catches a "Fever" with Audion

I'll have to admit: I misjudged this track at first, a serious mistake with anything these two producers release. The longtime artists have a history of celebrated, and occasionally off-key, works under their belts, and one of my first favorites when getting into this scene has to have been Tiga's flirtatious track, "You Gonna Want Me". Teaming up with Audion (aka Matthew Dear) who co-produced Tiga's upcoming album, "Fever" follows last September's rollicking tech house anthem, "Let's Go Dancing". However, today's song takes an edgy turn by slowing down the beat to a sultry tempo and adding decisive vocals over unexpected, blaring horns. Fitting to the dark spaces the production will fill, Audion admits that "Fever" came in a late night brainwave after a full day of fruitless collaboration: "What you hear is that 2am perfection; only reachable when the world and your mind is asleep to all things conscious”.

Grab the track on iTunes today, check out their upcoming mini-tour, and look for the remix medley on April 7th, featuring Maetrik, Acid Arab, Tom Trago and Kink.
