Canada's recent emergence as one of the hotbeds for talent, may have came as a surprise to a lot of people. The likes of Drake, Partynextdoor and The Weeknd are just a drop in the ocean when it comes to talent coming from north of the border. As far as upcoming artists trying to find their way in the music world, SonReal is one Canadian who is making quite a name for himself already, with a loyal legion of fans across the globe.
Having released one of the most entertaining visuals last summer, with the video for "Everywhere We Go", and then closing out the year with another video for "Believe", SonReal has kept true to his word and released his entire One Long Day project for free. The fourteen track album, sees the Vancouver native team up with a wealth of producers and artists including Rich Kidd, Adreena Mill and Shad, to deliver a rounded body of work that firmly delivers his intentions of making himself a household name. SonReal brings his lyrical slickness and clever wordplay to the table, and compliments a wide variety of beats, from boom bap rap, too deeper, more trap orientated instrumentals.
One Long Day is a concise yet deep body of work, and is just the precursor for his full commercial album that is set to be released later this year. You can stream the album below, and be sure to check SonReal's official website for the dates of his upcoming tour.
