It's been a minute since my last post but artists such as Cities Aviv are the types that get you to come out of hibernation. EARMILK has been constant ambassadors for artists that unpredictably push the envelope. Cities Aviv has consistently released music that challenges you on many levels whether it's trying to decipher the deep lyrics behind the reverb haze or whether its trying to mentally combine the various synth-wave heavy layers with the hip-hop percussion. It all seems to blend perfectly but its immediately obvious that if one thing was off, the entire overall structure would crumble. Cities Aviv has just released his latest LP, Come to Life, and I'm already calling it that its going to be one of the better hip-hop(?) albums of the year.
