DJ Modus is quickly rising in the Los Angeles dance scene, holding residencies in popular nightclubs all over town. His remixes have been quickly picking up steam over the course of 2013, and with a new home at the famous Sound Nightclub in Hollywood, 2014 is looking even stronger.
He's recently released his remix of Drake's "Pound Cake," which stunningly transcends the world of melodic hip hop and lands somewhere in tech house land. Keeping it's emotional and sexy vibe intact, Modus's spin on the original maintains the raw nature of Drizzy, while simultaneously making it playable in a dark warehouse at 3am in the morning.
It's dark and sexy, danceable, fun, and easily one of the best spins on "Pound Cake" out yet. The Louisahhh!!!-esque vocals add for a nice flair that borders dangerously seductive and tempting.
