Remembering back to Seal's "Don't Cry" brings upon nostalgic feelings of the nineties, not in Seal's spot on vocal performance, but in the instrumentation and overall pacing of the track. In reintroducing the song to a new generation the duo GEMS approached the heavy task by incorporate modern minimalistic elements into an overall washed-out instrumental structure. Throughout the flowing cover Lindsay Pitts carries the track with vocal confidence, utilizing her haunting voice to bring out the overall emotion that Seal mastered in expressing back in 1994.
