We've got a list of artists to watch in 2014, and three of them are in this post. On January 20th, Birdee will release the Just Call Me EP by way of Ibiza, LA and his other international house music experiences. The original mix has some down and dirty acidity that will permeate any barrier you've got up to stop you from dancing, futuristic choppiness and a few iterations of different 90's hip hop sample sprinklings. But the disco adventure doesn't end there: two more remixes flank the track that might make you rethink the way you perceive house music. First up is that from Italian producer Fare Soldi, whose remixes have added some bass guitar flair to turn anything from Kendrick Lamar to Blackstreet into a lounge-ified track. Here he plays on the bass guitar as you'd imagine, adding more grunginess to make the track a bit heavier. And finally, we've got London's The Young Punx in line, whose remix brings "Just Call Me" more in line with straight disco house with a sound that would make sense on the actual Billboard chart from 1977. That twangy bass and turbo turning bass might just be my favorite, but you can decide for yourself below.
