After dropping two heavily rotated remixes, it was only a matter of time until we started getting originals from the freshly formed EDM duo better known as DrunkGirl. The first release is entitled "Overdose" and takes on a darker feel compared to most of the music we are hearing in the electronic world today. Don't think of this one as a hard pill to swallow though. The overload on the bass line makes it easy to figure out just exactly how the song got it's name, and with an impressive wave building up in the beginning, it all comes to a head with a beautiful breakdown just around the two minute mark.
There is no need to enhance this with any substances before you press play, because once you hit that button this is going to deliver a chemical imbalance that can only be described as straight sinister. I get the feeling Rollin Mills and Dr. Eargasm won't be apologizing for sending anyone to the ER anytime soon, either. If this is what we can look forward to from the group this year, it's bound to be an energetic upstart for the New Jersey natives. They are said to have plans to continue hitting us with brand new remixes, but have also started scratching the surface on their still-to-be-titled debut project. No pills, all thrills is the motto for this one. No stomach pumping necessary.
