After leaving us in the dark for a while after the release of his debut LP Skywriter, DATA is back with his well crafted blend of lo fi digital disco with a pop twist. Finding his home on Ekler'o'shock a few years ago and getting noticed internationally with his single "One In A Million" DATA has a great talent for finding the perfect balance of hard hitting dance anthems and analogue laden disco hits. This young french producer has seen praise from producers such as Sébastien Grainger, Breakbot, Benjamin Diamond and Bogu and has finally graced us with a look at his new EP Soldiers Flag reminding us exactly why we love what he does. Huge down tempo drums and excessively warm bass helps to reintroduce DATA onto our radar and once again he has delivered a finely tuned piece of modern digital disco. The Soldiers Flag EP is out on Ekler'o'shock on the 13th of January 2014 and it should be the perfect way to start the new year.
