The indie band HAERTS, fronted by lead vocalist Nini Fabi, has been making soulful electronically-tinted folky outputs for the past year. Signed to Columbia Records, the four-man band has been rising to success with help from their debut release "Wings". Six months ago the quartet revealed "All The Days," a sprawling piece, driven by Fabi's strong but breathy vocals and now Follow Me is reviving the track with a remix.
Follow Me, who first caught my ear with their remix of Johnny Stimson's "Daddy's Money" is reworking "All The Days", converting the electronic elements from subtle to distinctive. The New York-based duo made up of Joe Spagna and Anthony Vertullo has been honing in on their production skills for the past three years—taking a liking to nostalgic 90s R&B remixing and revamping tracks by the likes of TLC, Brandy and Brian McKnight. Now taking a stab at an indie output, the production pair keep Fabi's vocals intact, transforming "All The Days" into a beachy production, with tropically-inspired drum kicks and piano chords. Giving the tune even more oomph, Follow Me create a danceable rendition of the already forceful original.
After receiving serious support for this first original track "Somethin' About You", Follow Me plan to delivery their debut EP in the early months of 2014.
