Cord Henning Labuhn and Sacha Robotti make up the German production duo Robosonic. Building a repertoire of techno and deep house that's got a direct influence from jazz, lounge music and hip hop, the guys have released a two-track EP this week on OFF Recordings entitled Macho Madness. Featuring that signature sound that transforms their sampled pieces from cheesy lounge pieces to macho dance tracks, the title track is one that adds another notch to their belt in making a mark on the underground dance scene. The surprise here, though, is their collaboration with Mat.Joe on "Got Game," which samples a familiar hip hop hook and also makes it their own.
