A few weeks ago, the mysterious Mao dropped the full stream of their forthcoming track,"No Love", via Soundcloud, part of the No Love EP release from Uschii on December 16th. Adding to the hype is this remix by Greymatter, a similarly anonymous Brit who makes up one part of WOLF Music Recordings' three founding members. You probably know some of their artists, like Waze & Odyssey, Bicep, and the two other residents, KRL and Medlar. Coming back to today's premiere, Greymatter forgoes the original's heavy vocal focus and brings listeners a beat-centric rework. Instead of lyrics, the voices have been transformed into slow ethereal pulses, pierced by string samples, making the track a play of soft on sharp.
