There are certain releases that I get really anxious for and Los Angeles based Dim Mak Records is playing on that feeling by releasing the the CRNKN remix of Felix Cartal's "New Scene" prematurely. The "New Scene" remix EP is set to be fully released on December 3rd but this teaser is making me wish it was sooner. The original track is a hit for sure, but CRNKN's remix takes it to a whole new level by defining the heavy bass and upping the ante with the intensity all around. Ofelia's vocals remain mostly intact but the silky quality becomes much more pronounced when layered over a thoroughly grimier sound. The once house track lingers over to the dark side and becomes an electro house meets trippy drum and bass track. The remix EP is going to feature remixes from Lucky Date and Felix Cartal himself, TOKiMONSTA, Deorro, and Lazy Rich, keep an eye out for it. Until then put this on repeat, you won't be disappointed.
