Allow me to put you on the oh-so-wonderful Overdoz., a four man LA based hip hop collective. After a bit of silence, they are finally giving listeners a little taste of their upcoming project Boom with the release of their new track "Killer Tofu." Expect these guys, Kent, Cream, P, and Joon, to bring their humor into the mix with vivid lyrics and beats, and a creative blend of comedic storytelling and on point delivery. "Killer Tofu" is definitely a refreshing and hilarious rant on the ups and downs of relationships, so if you're in need of some real, uncensored commentary, this is the song for you. Let it be known that it is not easy to find the prime balance between fun and solid lyrical content. I've come across too many tracks that sacrifice impressive lyrics for impressive beats, and vice versa, so I'm always hype to find artists like Overdoz. who know how to bring the two together and craft a colorful track. After combing through all the different reasons this track is so great, I've decided to bring up one that almost went unnoticed. I won't spoil it for you though, just make sure you pay attention at 0:15. If you're asking, "Did he really just say what I think he said?" Yes, he did.
Overdoz.'s music is the kind to get you hooked real quick, so embrace the feeling, laugh a bit, and stop sleeping on these cats.
