Zane Lowe summed Joey Bada$$ and Pro Era up with one word; consistent. After premiering the remix for "My Yout" on his show today, Zane said that you can guarantee when Pro Era put out new music, they are consistently good, and I completely agree. Ever since Joey stepped foot onto the scene when he dropped his highly popular mixtape 1999 last year, both him and his Pro Era homies have been putting out high quality music regularly.
If you've watched him grow as an artist, you should have noticed that he's tightened up his flow considerably, however he continues to stay true to the type of hip hop he likes to put out. Bringing those old 90's flavours back and blending them with modern subjects is a staple that both Joey and Pro Era are familiar with, and both continue to carry that theme on through out their music.
The remix of "My Yout", a track that was originally featured on Joey's Summer Knights mixtape, features British singer/songwriter Maverick Sabre who provides a scintillating hook that really gives the track a new dimension. The Chuck Strangers produced beat has a compelling reggae sample and some bangin' drums that carry the track along making it an instant head bopper.

The "My Yout" remix will be on the forthcoming Summer Knights EP release, which features five tracks from the mixtape plus two new songs. The EP will be available to purchase on October 29 on iTunes.
