It seems like Drake's most recent album, Nothing Was The Same, has been getting quite a lot of attention since it's release in September. It has also seen a lot the tracks from NWTS being remixed by DJ's and producers around the globe, and I think I may have just found my personal favourite so far. Britain's DJ Q has taken one of the highlights of the album, "From Time", and given it that UK garage vibe.
The shuffling hi-hats, deep kick and soft snaps instantly give you that 2-step feel, and then Q brings in a warm bass line that oozes out the ecstasy of the early garage movement. He also chops up the vocals of both Drake and Jhene further into the track, creating a completely new section that pays homage to the garage roots of the track.
