DeAira – Love Among Other Things [LP]

DeAira hails from Las Vegas, Nevada, and seeks to make her mark as a rising producer/composer/instrumentalist. It's a glaringly male-dominated world in reference to production, though newcomers like Canada's Wondagurl are poised to shift the statistics. The Sin City producer's style is fixed on a blend of soul/R&B and hip-hop, with a few electronic aspects, which is obvious when listening to her LP Love Among Other Things. The former collegiate athlete cites Love & Basketball, her favorite film, as the inspiration for the project. Immediate standout from Love Among Other Things is this track, "Cloud 9," which samples The-Dream's "Walking on the Moon". Stream and download below.

The Nevada-based instrumentalist describes the LP as "[her] interpretation of what love sounds like. The theme is taken from the movie Love & Basketball and it portrays the story of finding love, meeting love, gaining love, and losing love. But within the four stages of love you have other things within love such as: wordily things (fame and money), lust, heartbreak, and internal battles." Check out the project in its entirety below.
