Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, The Incomparable Shakespeare pays homage to the culture that raised him while finding his own foothold as a rising emcee. His most recent offering comes in the form of a 14-track mixtape appropriately titled #InvincibleDream. One of the best aspects of the tape is the insane mixing (and scratching) done by DJ R.L., which ultimately makes the 33-minute LP play more like a live DJ set with Shake rapping off top, pausing just long enough for Sway Calloway to ask him a few insightful questions. There's a certain level of witty lyricism coupled with soulful hip-hop classics that comes easily to the young rapper, a style of which 9th Wonder, DJ Premier and their peers would nod approvingly.
