Once again, e-dubble returns to the booth to add to his increasingly impressive First Friday series. “Metabars” sees E-Dub donning a noticeably more aggressive flow than we've become accustomed to hearing from the Baltimore native, however, it works and shows a grittier side to an MC that – for a long time now – has proved to be more consistent than a pint of coconut milk.
Two things you can always be sure of when you come across a new e-dubble track are great beats and intelligent bars; this man’s impressively diverse back catalogue would make a compelling case for an e-dubble radio station on the gloriously imminent GTA V…here’s hoping.
If you’re not familiar with e-dubble and what he’s all about, then “Be A King” and “Fight For Days” would each make for charming introductions; in the here and now though “Metabars” is out and sounding heavy. You can stream and download it below via. his Soundcloud.
