It’s a gift to hear something new, but it’s a miracle to hear something become something new again. “The Mother We Share” is an incredible tune from CHVRCHES, it's synthetic and electrified, and Blood Diamonds' have worked a real feat here. They have taken the track and turned it into something that’s at once faithful, yet entirely new. With the vestigial synth and novel glitch percussion, they marry it nicely together. Brilliantly, the vocals remain largely untouched (except for small flourishes of the ever-gratifying Blood Diamond’s pitch shifts). You should play this song at a volume high enough to induce a concussion.
