Exile – Zip Disks and Floppies [Album Stream]

Los Angeles producer Exile has built a career through working with rappers on full-length projects. He created a classic with Blu in Below the Heavens and has numerous other collaborations with the likes of Aloe Blacc, Fashawn and most recently Johaz. His other-worldly talent has also been evident on solo projects like Radio, 4TRK Mind and now his new release Zip Disks and Floppies. The album is made up of unreleased heat created entirely with his MPC 2000 XL, as he is looking to move on to some new production equipment. Exile has provided the album stream through a stop-animation video he created symbolizing him ending his use of floppy and zip disks to save his beats. The expert Dilla-esque sample flipping that Exile is known for alone makes this one a must-listen. Make sure you support by grabbing the project on iTunes or through CD or vinyl formats.
