Better late than never. A month that consisted of one of the most controversial verses of the year and a series of response tracks continues to heat up. This time, Pro Era rapper and Beast Coast leader Joey Bada$$ finally answers to Kendrick Lamar’s infamous statement as the “King of New York.”
“King of New York? Ha! We ain’t just gon’ let that one hang. Last nigga got dethroned and you ain’t from my zone. The rest of the real niggas is dead and gone.” The track includes some serious claims from the Brooklyn native referring to himself as “Biggie, L, and Pun,” especially since he received a lot of criticism for his throwback sound after releasing Summer Knights in July. Either way, he lets his opinion be known on “Killuminati Pt. 2.”
