Botnek – "I Know" [Premiere + Exclusive Mix]

Montreal-based duo Botnek have been some of the most prominent noisemakers in 2013, both literally and figuratively. Their sound often combines the punch of main room anthems with wonky stripped-down electro drops—gaining them support from the likes of Tommy Trash, Zeds Dead, and Dim Mak label head Steve Aoki. It's been a summer of releases for the duo—complete with their massive original “Through The Night”, a spot on the remix package for Porter Robinson and Mat Zo’s “Easy”, as well as remixes for DallasK and label mates Autoerotique. Now they’re back with “I Know”, which sets the stage early with playful piano chords that morph into big-room synth lines and a jazzy vocal to boot. True to Botnek fashion, the drop packs an explosion of wobbles while still keeping the melody and soul of earlier sounds intact.

We’ve also got an exclusive mix to premiere from Botnek at Tomorrowland, packing 15 tracks into 30 minutes from the Dim Mak Up All Night Stage. Complete with a heavy handful of original material along with two IDs, not to mention a “Bohemian Rhapsody” interlude, this mix is just a hint of what you can expect from a Botnek set. Check out the tracklist below.
