Arkon Fly – "Through The Fire"

I know that we've all sort of established at this point that something very special has been going on with the UK and dance music. It's always been the case ever since the US abandoned it a bit back, but it's especially been booming the past 12-16 months. Bands like Disclosure and even older acts like Skream have brought forth fantastic outputs that maintain an underground and overground appeal. That doesn't always happen in pop culture, and it has been fascinating to see various different subgroups collide.

What is even more amazing is that new acts are popping up constantly, and they all happen to be great. Arkon Fly, a new name buzzing in the UK right now, has brought forth their first song, "Through the Fire," which is presented as this strange mix of gospel/soul and UK dance. It's all added up and presented as a package with the somewhat disturbing, yet intriguing (in a I-can't-stop-staring sort of way) set of visuals.

They don't have any pending releases or tour dates quite yet, but then again the road to name recognition doesn't take long in the internet age. I'm sure this is one group we'll be hearing about within the next year.
