These are the mashes that are worth hearing, so stop your searching and instead settle down at your computer… turn up your speakers… and get ready for that sweet nectar that only EARMILK can give ya. Let's GO!

We got a smaller selection of tracks for y'all this week, but there are some standout tracks for sure. To commence this all, is the premiere of DJ AA's exquisitely refreshing "No Sunshine". From the man who gave us the memorable "No Diggity" edit last week, AA does it again with the likes of Ben Harper and Affelaye. The overall feel of "No Sunshine" is a light and calming effect, while Affelaye's production from "Never Felt Real" (instrumental) just washes over you in its cascade of bubbly synths. For a change of pace from the Top 40 mashups, cue up this mash stat.

Continuing on, we have an interesting combination of New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde with American rapping legend Notorious B.I.G. courtesy of Hamish Carter. I was apprehensive to listen to this at first just because the samples are pretty varied, but once the vocal bravado of Biggie is introduced over Lorde's "Love Club" I'm hooked. It's certainly a unique take on these two artists, but Hamish took a risk and it paid off nicely for him (and more importantly for us).

Perhaps the most innovative mashups for this week are the ones provided to us by the Tutankhamun Brothers, with their mashup album titled What's A Black Beatle sampling the likes of the classic Beatles and the provocative Kanye West. Reminiscent of DJ Danger Mouse's The Grey Album (Jay Z x The Beatles), the Tut Brothers deliver a project that has some noteworthy tracks in itself. I'm posting 2 of the tracks below, including my favorite "Hey Jude, We Major / More Popular Than Jesus" which starts off with The Beatles calm and metered approach before exploding with Yeezy's braggadocious vocal demeanor that adds so much needed emotional power. Quite simply…I love it. Grab the entire album here.

And to finalize this week's edition, I wanted to include a near 30 minute bootleg pack courtesy of Henry Fong. Just click 'play', and let the music play in the background as you get your work done. Warning: dancing may ensue…
