While there is not much information on Jordan Campbell's side project A Weekend At The Feelies, one thing is for certain we find his latest track quite intriguing. "Lowly Buzzard” is the first single from the artist and if it's any indication of what the future holds, you might want to keep an eye out for this up-and-comer.
The arrangement here is impeccable. Opening with a low, reverb-drenched guitar, Campbell works the chords like an undercurrent beneath crystallized synths. The punchy kick and bass step into the forefront to keep the sound from getting too big. The amount of space and the Cayucas-style vocals bring it all together with a sweet bit of poetry: “I’m just like you, a lowly buzzard searching for food.” Here's hoping we won’t have to wait too long until the next single.
