Rising star Angel Haze has returned with another one of her notorious freestyles, this time, a rendition of Kanye's “New Slaves.” The 22-year-old rapstress previously released freestyle versions of high-profile tunes before, including tracks from Eminem, Jay Z and Missy Elliot, to name a few. Spitting rhymes faster than 'Yeezus' himself, the Detroit-born Angel proves her abilities again—adding her own lines, while keeping the chorus intact. Combining her own emotion with Kanye's infectious beat-making, the chart climbing rapper gives listeners her own take on what it is like to be a “New Slave”.
Prepping for the end-of-summer festival circuit, Angel Haze will be performing at Chicago's Lollapalooza next. Fans can expect new material, as she recently announced her highly anticipated debut album, Dirty Gold, has been finished since June—although a release date is yet to be revealed.
