There is probably no individual on earth more versatile than Donald Glover. What’s even scarier than that is how quickly the modern day Renaissance Man has become a force to be reckoned with in the rap game as Childish Gambino. The last thing we heard from the Georgia rapper/actor/comedian/singer/songwriter/producer—in the musicsphere that is—was his terrific Independence Day mixtape, Royalty, which showed great lyrical growth and dexterity. Now, Gambino is back with another stellar, genre-bending cut, “Centipede.” Donald is flowing like never before in this new cut, swiftly transitioning back and forth between rhyme schemes over a quasi-lo-fi piano chop. He brings his signature wit, and even does some crooning, too. No word on where this will land yet, so keep posted. For now, just check out the song below.
