A$AP Ferg’s Trap Lord has been one of the oft-delayed projects of the past year, but now, with a seemingly concrete release date (August 20), Ferg is beginning to build momentum in anticipation of the highly-awaited debut. Fresh off the success of his first solo record, “Work” from the Lords Never Worry mixtape and its subsequent remix, A$AP Ferg releases “Shabba” featuring his crew chief A$AP Rocky. The song namedrops dancehall musician Shabba Ranks over reasonably menacing production. Its relentless pace is ferocious and both MCs kick bars that compliment the other’s style.
