Gilbere Forte has taken quite the hiatus from music. It has been over a year since his stellar Year of the Dragon mixtape, and his fans have been pining for a follow-up. Now, the MC is prepping for a return with his new mixtape, PRAY. The first release–the title track–featured a Fiona Apple vocal sample, and the rapper spreading the typical rap braggadocio. The second release off the project, “Nolita,” though, is practically a motion picture in itself and showcases Forte’s storytelling. The record is produced by Raak and has a feature from Active Child. Be on the lookout for Gibere Forte’s PRAY, due out May 15th.
