Who better to remix Mim and Liv Nervo’s sensually sweet vocals than Fred Falke, the disco loving, electronic DJ and producer from France who’s just remixed “Hold On”. Seeming to drift between legendary and underground, Falke has always proved a conundrum: his status in the scene and penchant for remixing pop divas would appear to contrast his apparent disinterest in fame. He’s been fervent about remaining a genuine artist, as opposed to a celebrity, stating in an interview with Beats and Beyond last fall:
“I just want to stay true to the music I love as much as possible, whilst also working with as many different people as I can. I would say my goal is to keep writing, developing my live show, and try to put out the best music I can.”
Starting with NERVO’s breathy sighs and slowly building into a suave disco beat, Falke takes us back to the club’s closing hours with just one dance left to hold on to.
