What is it about London that brings out the dark side of a musician? You could ask the electronic producer Tourist who recently made the move inland from Brighton. William Phillips (Tourist) came onto the scene a year ago providing listeners with radiant energized synth patterns on his debut self-titled EP, but upon moving he seems to have lost many of the cheery tones he previously displayed.
Phillips' newest release "I Have No Fear" brings new sensations to his minimalist repertoire including textural anxiety and almost a sense of mistrust, but as the vocal loop fades out repeating "I don't have no fear", you can breathe easy. This marks the second release (first below) off of Tourist.'s new forthcoming EP Tonight, which comes out on February 18 via Monday Records. Lose yourself in his songs below.
