Positioned at the helm of the "British band resurgence" is indie rock quartet, Alt-J or ∆ (for Mac users) who saw boast-worthy record sales last year in both the US and UK. They took home the 2012 Mercury Award for their inaugural album, An Awesome Wave and continue to dominate with several BRIT Award nominations this year.
Yesterday they released the perfect visual accompaniment, directed by Alex Southam, for the trip-hop inspired, "Tesselate". As described by the band, the video is 'a twist on Italian Renaissance painter Raphael's 'The School of Athens', set in a modern day gangster's paradise. "Tesselate" is off their debut album, An Awesome Wave which was released last July.
