Ethiopian-American musician Kenna is embarking on both a literal and metaphorical career lift. Gifted with soulful pipes, the Grammy-nominated musician is steadily raising awareness of the global clean water crisis through his work as a musician and his endeavors as an activist. He's gathered folks like Foster the People frontman Mark Foster and actor Justin Chatwin along with friends and educators to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro with him, hoping to draw attention to clean water issues. The climb will be documented on "Summit on the Summit", an interactive site that will chronicle the journey and profile each climber's experience.
Additionally Kenna is seeking attention from another activist in particular – Bono. The U2 lead singer is ubiquitous with his own advocacy work and Kenna aspires to attain that level of effective activism. In pursuit of raising awareness we're excited to premier new music from this mindful musician – very fittingly a haunting yet beautiful interpretation of U2's "Gloria."
