Three years after he last took the world by storm with Inglourious Basterds (and in the process helped launch Christoph Waltz and Michael Fassbender to super stardom), Quentin Tarantino is back with a vengeance–literally. Django Unchained, which opens Christmas Day, stars Jamie Foxx as the titular character, a freed slave turned bounty hunter seeking to free his wife from the clutches of an evil plantation owner. Teaming up with his usual cavalcade of stars–which this time includes Oscar winners Foxx and (once again) Waltz, as well as future Oscar winner Leonardo Dicaprio in a very welcomed villainous departure, Tarantino presents the most unique take on a western revenge tale the world has ever seen.
