Cardopusher graces us with his new So What You Want Me To Do EP featured on his own curated label Classicworks Records and it certainly does not disappoint. This five track collection resurrects a bit of nostalgia with old school samples including the infamous "so what you want me to do" quote from Big Daddy Kane in "Ain't No Half Steppin'" to the eponymous song. The Spanish based producer keeps the club moving from track to track with a knack for driven rhythms programmed on vintage 808/909 drum combos. His music is heavily influenced by many retro genres including 90's acid and hard house, but the classic vogue style heard in the opening song "I Know You Will" updates his sound to the present. The Venezuelan also tosses up "The Real Thing" and "Hysteria", which vibe more towards an acid feel, referencing the historic drug-induced parties of earlier generations. Label mate Nehuen adds his heavier-hitting flavor to "I Know You Will", a remix to wrap up a hefty package that will keep your head nodding to every beat.
