The Wonderland Journals – "Passenger" feat. Renji (Fries & Shine Remix) [Exclusive]

The Disco Fries are back with their most beloved production companion Tommie Sunshine for their remix of “Passenger” by The Wonderland Journals feat. Renji. As Fries & Shine, the collaborative effort of both The Disco Fries and Tommie Sunshine, they take pride in taking over the airwaves on Scion A/V, and their raving monthly residency at Pacha NYC.

Teaming up with the Vicious Recordings label, with artists like Angger Dimas, Vandalism, and Franz Novotny, comes a new single paired with Tommie Sunshine to produce “Cool Without You” featuring Kid Sister. With “Passenger” being the pre-cursor to the “Cool Without You” release, we see endless possibilities within the Fries & Shine dynamic. “Passenger” was inspired heavily by Jacques Lu Cont and his production work within his remixes of The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside” and his take on Royksopp’s “What Else Is There”.

“Passenger” brings you back to the reminiscent days of electronic music, when it all featured through an online music stream, not knowing the names of artists, just feeling the music throughout your body. The track starts off with a steady bass line with mystical roller-coaster -like trance sounds pulsing throughout your existence, built up to your classic vocal trance feel with soothing female vocals that set your souls back a few lifetimes, which then slam upon thee like the wrath of Zeus.
