Just over a month ago Pierce Fulton graced our pages in a multimedia post, part of which contained a video documenting his life on tour. One of the most exciting revelations from that video came from a preview of a new song, “Mr Mime,” just released today on Cr2 records, alongside “Sink Or Swim,” featuring Bebe Rexha. While both progressive in nature, each song encompasses it own realm on the spectrum. “Sink Or Swim” feels brighter, with airy breaks that make way for Bebe Rexha’s hope-filled vocals. Don’t be fooled, though, as the climbs drop into heavy beats, pushed by repeating, measure-long grinds. Conversely, “Mr Mime” easily could have made its way into the Tron soundtrack, with dark undulating chords that contrast a climb, anxiously ridden with high riffs. You’ll want your “good headphones” for this one as always, so you can hear the unique, ear-perking sounds found on the last four count of every other measure. He is currently on the Love & War tour with Wolfgang Gartner, and we'll be offering a chance to win some tickets for that tour so stay tuned to Earmilk for that.
