There are a few UK emcees I’m excited about right now. Youngs Teflon is one of them. Whether it be a off the top freestyle or a video like this video for “God Save The Queens”, his offerings over the past few months have been consistently solid. The beat is taken from the second incarnation of the Brooklyn hip hop collective Crooklyn Dodgers 95’s classic joint “Return Of The Crooklyn Dodgers”. I’m looking forward to seeing what his upcoming mixtape TR!LL!N does when it drops. Youngs Teflon is already a trillion times better than most of the commercial nonsense coming out of the UK at present. We need more of this.
