Detroit's native son and the newly crowned best emcee in the game (that is according to fellow rhymesayer Childish Gambino), Danny Brown recently teamed up with the folks at Pitchfork.tv for a mini-documentary to give viewers a glimpse into the life of Danny Brown and taste of the real Detroit which the Clint Eastwood-narrated "Halftime in America" Chrysler commercial neglected to showcase.
Shot back in February, the documentary which borrows its titled from Brown's 2007 mixtape of the same name, features the Fool's Gold rapper in the Linwood neighborhood of Detroit among his family, fielding questions and speaking at length about his hometown and the grim picture of Detroit he vividly captures in his rhymes, getting a haircut from his brother, as well as footage of Brown performing at this past year's Dilla Day tribute concert. Watch the 20-minute documentary and gain a little insight into the life of the artist that is Mr. Danny Brown.
