The Santa Monica, California native Azad Right sent this through recently, and although I prefer the method of finding music myself over recommendations or co-signs I decided to check it out, and needless to say, I was impressed with his music, prompting this write-up.
"Alone" is a track off of Azad's The Time Is Right, a mixtape that dropped in September of last year. The song itself has a strange mainstream appeal which would usually turn me away but weirdly I'm compelled to overwork the play button on YouTube, Azad's verses captured my attention initially and the slow crescendo leading to the snare drums by producer Professor O and the dope hook by Luna Angel kept me listening.
