It's been quite some time since this hipster-die-hard band released anything new and now girls (and boys alike?) in their skinny ripped jeans and moccasins are jumping with glee about the news of Animal Collective's next album. The last work this collaboration put together was in 2009 and arguably one of their most successful, Merriweather Post Pavilion. Now Animal Collective has nearly completed their next album and internet rumours have been brewing that it is intact and actually already finished. Both of the tracks you'll find below are going to be released on June 26 on a 7-inch which you can pre-order here.
Both tracks scream signature Animal Collective with their mix of strange sounds with bouncy tribal drums and magical vocals. "Honeycomb" is more energetic and bouncy while "Gotham" is more your typical Animal Collective sound, mixing Panda Bear's own speciality with the band's classic sounds.
