Mashup Monday – We're back again with some of the freshest mashes to start your week off right. These are the mashes that are worth hearing, so stop your searching and instead settle down at your computer… turn up your speakers… and get ready for that sweet nectar that only EARMILK can give ya. Let's GO.

Starting off this week is a mash by The Jane Doze that takes full use of the insanely popular "Call Me, Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen and Jessie J's "Domino." By pairing them with Porter Robinson's "Language," TJD manages to take away some of the poppiness and successfully infuse a heavier electro sound. I have a feeling that Carly's track is going to be one of those oversampled acapellas but there's no denying its catchiness, and The Jane Doze do a great job with this one. Now one track from this week's segment that I hold dear is Bruneaux's "Sugar Crash." I visited him a couple weeks ago in Athens while going to see Basic Physics, Brenton Duvall, and The Jane Doze, and I was there when he started to work on this track. After recommending Sojorn's remix "Drum Machine" of Five Knives, Bruneaux did something completely out of his norm. Long story short, all the acapellas especially those of  Kelis and Los Del Rio really make the track stand out.

One artist that isn't wasting any time in releasing new material is Sex Ray Vision. Having released his Relax EP recently (March 29th), SRV is putting in quick work to release a mashup mixtape soon. If "Stacy's Journey" is any indication of what we can expect from the Primary Colors, then you can consider me as eagerly awaiting this new project from Ravi coming out on April 24th. On the flip side, The White Panda is starting to release some full-length mashups from their Bambooyah! album, with the first released track being "Turn Marvin Gaye Down." It's a fun and bouncy type of track courtesy of Big Sean, Kaskade, and Le Castle Vania. This was one of my favorite tracks of the album, and hearing the full-length version makes it easy to see why it was well-received by many White Panda fans.

I'm including 3 tracks from Dotcom's latest mash album/mixtape titled Eyes On The Prize. It's a well-done project that is deserving of many plays, and it showcases Dotcom's talent immensely. He has an uncanny knack of being able to mash various instrumental genres easily while still creating a cohesive and entertaining track. I've said it before, but he's definitely someone you want to keep an eye, err ear, on. Other personal favorites from the list is: Daniel Kim's "Pop Danthalogy 2011" and while I realize it's not 2011 anymore, this mash rivals Mashup Germany's "Top of the Pops 2011," Scott Melker's "Somebody That I Used To Know vs Dead Wrong" just for its uniqueness factor of what he did to alter Gotye's vocals, and RETOXX's "Dillon Francis Has 99 Problems." It seems as though moombahton is growing on me. But take a listen to the tracks below and hit me up in the comments, or Facebook page, with your thoughts and recommendations.
