Fayetteville's favorite son and Roc Nation's flagship artist J. Cole dropped some official visuals for the self-produced title track off his debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story. The video, directed by Axel Laramee and Adam Roy, features shots of Cole rapping interspersed with footage from several locales on Cole's 2011 world tour such as Birmingham, Alabama and Dubai. The video is neither flashy nor particularly eye-catching. The roughly four and a half minute clip mainly features some basic visuals loosely documenting Cole's life journey following the release of his highly anticipated debut. Nothing more nothing less.
